Knowledge is power

You've spent months writing your script and now you're eager to present it to prospective buyers. But is it ready? Considering the large time and money investment you've made (and are about to make selling it), it makes good sense to be sure of where your script stands and how to position it in the marketplace.

Uniquely qualified

Dave Trottier combines the best of three disciplines to evaluate your script. He is a successful writer/producer, national seminar leader, and story analyst. With more than a decade of experience in all three areas, he is uniquely qualified to render a thorough and useful evaluation of your script.

Unlock your script's commercial potential

Dave does not provide a quick "form letter" analysis, but tailors his comments to your individual script. His exhaustive evaluation will help you strengthen the structure, bring your characters to life, improve your dialogue, correct your formatting, and enhance your commercial prospects. All writing areas are addressed. Dave helps you see the pluses and minuses, gives specific examples, and presents you with several possible solutions to your script's problems.

An intensive story conference with Dave

Writers love the two-for-one aspect of Dave's evaluation. Once you digest his thoughtful and incisive analysis (usually 8-14 pages), then you may call him for a story conference to discuss the evaluation, the script, the market, or just brainstorm new ideas-whatever you need. You provide the agenda for this one-on-one consultation. You'll find Dave to be both friendly and insightful. So in essence, you benefit from two evaluations-one written and one verbal.

Absolute honesty at reasonable rates

The written evaluation is usually completed within 2-4 weeks of receiving your script, so there's no long wait for a response. Dave is direct, clear, and realistic; and his criticism is both constructive and motivating.

All evaluations are done by Dave himself

Dave has no assistants helping him evaluate your script; he does all of the evaluating himself. And each script is carefully read, sometimes twice.

What your evaluation includes:

1 A thorough, market-wise written evaluation of your script.

2. A telephone story conference of up to one hour to discuss any and all issues pertaining to your script. Most writers schedule this after they've read the written evaluation.

QUERY LETTER EVALUATION

You should spend as much time on your query letter as you do on your script's key scene. Your query letter is your prime "break-in" tool. Agents and producers generally will not read your script until they have first read your query letter.

Now you can get Dave's evaluation of your query, his assessment of its marketing potential, and recommendations for its revision.

Dave will evaluate both your query and your script for a reduced fee, saving you $65.
